I was scheduled to participate in a Trans4mation Breathwork Session on a Saturday morning. The day before, I received news which was highly emotional and difficult to process. I thought of cancelling my session, but because I had been looking forward to trying this particular breathwork I decided to attend.
The session was 30 minutes long with various styles of breathing. It’s possible that my emotional upheaval of the day before opened up insights that may have taken longer to attain, but within a few minutes of the session, a calming water scene from my childhood accompanied by a healing light entered into my awareness from the soles of my feet. It stayed there a long time and I was given Gentle Guidance as to my “stuckness” from the day before. My acceptance of the Guidance was immediate and we stayed in this calm place for a long time. The Light moved up to my left eye where I have had retina damage. The Light stayed over my eye for a few minutes and then filled my entire body for the balance of the session.
Later that day a “common cold” came on and I was very congested for days afterward. My body was physically releasing my “stuckness” on many levels. It is a week since the session and I feel taken care of, nurtured and freed from some of the tight bonds I had unconsciously created.
The fact that the directions for breathing were spoken out loud gave me the ability to just relax and let everything happen that needed to happen. I didn’t have to think if I was breathing too fast, too slow, too long, or too short. The most relaxing parts were holding my breath during exhale. I amazed myself as to how long I held my breath because I tend to panic when I’m by myself. I suppose knowing my facilitator could revive me if necessary, allowed me to fully let go.
